Thank you from Ringette BC

The ringette season came to an abrupt end this year and Ringette BC would like to take a moment to express our gratitude and appreciation to our ringette community. The decision to cancel the end of season events as well as all other ringette-related activities was made with the well-being, safety and health of the entire ringette community in mind. It was not a decision that was made lightly. Ringette BC woudl like to take a moment to express our gratitude and appreciation to our entire ringette community.

Our thanks to the Shuswap Ringette Association as well as the City of Salmon Arm, the City of Enderby and District of Sicamous for their hard work, dedication and commitment to hosting the 2020 Provincial B and 18+ Championships and the U14AA Playoffs. Ringette BC and all the participants were excited and ready to play in what would have been an exciting year end competition.

Ringette BC would also like to express to the Prince George Ringette Association, City of Prince George, and Tourism Prince George for their hard work, dedication and commitment to hosting the 2020 Western Canadian Ringette Championships. We have no doubt it would have been a world class event.

To both Club Associations and Event Sport Partners, your team of staff and volunteers dedicated countless hours to organizing what we know would have been a fantastic events. Thank you for your dedication to the sport of ringette, and to our athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers. We look forward to working with you on ringette events again in the future.

In addition, thank you to all our parents, coaches, officials, and volunteers who work tirelessly to bring this sport to life every single day for our athletes. Ringette could not happen without you and we are sincerely grateful for all your work during this and every season. While the season may have ended sooner than we were all planning for, it does not diminish your efforts.

Ringette BC will continue to update our members on the status of ringette-related programs and activities as it becomes available. In the meantime, this newsletter has some activities for players, parents, and coaches to keep active and engaged while self-isolating at home  to keep active and engaged. Ringette BC is optimistic that many will be able to participate in the online modules, training seminars, and other ringette related activities.

Above all, we hope that all our players, parents, officials, coaches and volunteers are staying safe and healthy and practicing social distancing. We must all do our part to flatten the curve.

From Ringette BC to all our community, thank you and stay safe!
